CELEBRATING NOWROZ
According to popular folklore Kurdish, the Kurdish New Year, the March 21 700 f.Kr, when the Kurdish blacksmith Kawa the Kurdish people are free from the tyrant Zuhak (EZH Dehak).
Zuhak was, according to folklore, an evil king who ruled Kurdish regional residents and the surrounding region, the enslavement of the Kurdish population. Zuhak must have suffered from a rare disease. According to the myth has two large snakes increased from the shoulders of the tyrant.

Khartoum (Sudan) Sufi Muslim Dervishes


Sufi Muslim

One of the dervishes at the Al Nil (or Al Neel) mosque in the Omdurman area, just outside the Sudanese capital of Khartoum. The dervishes practice the Sufi style of Islam, sometimes known as “Islamic mysticism.”

The ceremony ceremony is held each Friday just before sunset, except during Ramadan, and features music, chanting, and the burning of frankincense. Some participant whirl around while most walk slowly in a large circle.

September 11th, 2010 marked 9th anniversary of the World Trade Center attacks. Events included 9th Commemoration ceremony and the Emergency Mobilization Against Racism and Anti-Muslim Bigotry rally.

On September 11th, 2010 the Emergency Mobilization Against Racism and Anti-Muslim Bigotry rally took place on the east side of New York's City Hall, which culminated with a march around the City Hall. Thousands of people, from all walks of life, came to the rally to show their support.
